DiligencePro — Privacy Policy

AltFunds Global operates DiligencePro, an AI-powered due diligence platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use DiligencePro, how we use it, who can see it, and what rights you have over it.

Plain English version: we collect the minimum information needed to run the service, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the people needed to operate the platform.

1. Who We Are

AltFunds Global is a financial advisory firm incorporated in Ontario, Canada.

2. What We Collect and Why

We collect information in three categories:

A. Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. This is used to identify your account, send you notifications about completed investigations, and contact you about your subscription.

B. Investigation data

When you run an investigation, we collect the name, company, and details you enter about the subject. We store the results — risk scores, findings, entities, red flags — in your account so you can access them later. This data is yours. We use it only to display your results and generate your reports.

C. Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status. We store those references to manage your plan and checks remaining.

D. Usage data

We log which pages you visit, which features you use, and how long investigations take. This helps us fix bugs and improve the product. We also record the IP address used when you create an investigation — this is used to detect and prevent free trial abuse.

3. What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect social media profiles or passwords
  • We do not track you across other websites
  • We do not build advertising profiles
  • We do not collect data about the subjects of your investigations beyond what you enter
  • We do not use your investigation results to train AI models

4. Who Can See Your Data

Your data is visible to:

  • You — through your account dashboard
  • AltFunds Global staff (currently Taimour Zaman and Tina) — for account support and activation
  • Manus — our hosting infrastructure provider, who stores data on our behalf under their own security standards
  • Stripe — for payment processing only

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third-party marketers, data brokers, or any party not listed above.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a MySQL database hosted on Manus infrastructure. Investigations and reports are stored in encrypted cloud storage. Session cookies are signed with a secure secret key and expire after one year.

We take reasonable technical precautions to protect your data. No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Account information: kept for as long as your account is active
  • Investigation results: kept indefinitely so you can access past reports — you can request deletion at any time
  • Payment records: kept for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law
  • Usage logs: kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically
  • Deleted accounts: all personal data deleted within 30 days of account closure

7. Your Rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data
  • Portability — request your investigation data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent — close your account at any time

8. Cookies

DiligencePro uses one session cookie to keep you logged in. It contains an encrypted token with your user ID. It does not track you across other websites. It expires after one year or when you log out.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies from third parties, or fingerprinting cookies. We do use browser fingerprinting on investigation creation as a technical measure to prevent free trial abuse — this data is stored server-side and is not shared.

9. Investigation Subjects

DiligencePro searches publicly available databases on your behalf. The subjects of your investigations are not users of our platform and have not consented to being searched. All data sourced about subjects comes from public records — court filings, corporate registries, sanctions lists, news archives, and similar public sources.

We do not notify subjects that they have been searched. We do not store subject data beyond your investigation results. If a subject contacts us requesting removal of their information from a report, we will assess the request and respond within 10 business days.

10. Children

DiligencePro is a B2B professional platform. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The current version will always be available at altfundsglobal.com.
